The Render Podcast

In the spring of 2020, I helped to launch an interior design-focused podcast for Modsy, called “The Render.” Over the course of six episodes, we unpacked key moments in the history of interior design as well as some of the industry’s biggest trends and phenomena. We were named one of the “Best design podcasts” by Apartment Therapy and made the top 10 chart of Arts & Design on Apple Podcasts.
I created the show’s branding, designed all of the marketing material, and worked as a producer and audio editor for each episode. You can listen to all episodes on Spotify.
Branding
For the branding, I developed a collaged aesthetic that reflects the podcast’s ethos of bringing a wide range of interior design topics and historical periods into conversation with one another. To visually represent this idea in the podcast art, I experimented with layering chair designs iconic to different eras. Ultimately, we refined the concept to a single, iconic chair with a vintage, pasted-paper texture. Its simple form and elegant curves ensure a strong visual impact across various scales and applications.
Social Media and Email Marketing
I continued exploring this collaged aesthetic in the marketing materials, creating unique episode collages for social media posts and promotional emails. I also carried the style into video, animating clips from each episode.
